About the artist:
  Moshe Kagan was born in 1922 in Kremnitz, Poland. He started painting at an early age but World War II caught up with him before he could get any formal artistic education. A member of Hashomer-Hatzair movement, he joined the Polish Democratic Army, fought against the Nazis and took part in the liberation of Warsaw and Berlin. In Israel since 1948, Kagan is a member of Kibbutz Shamir in the Upper Galilee. Moshe Kagan has participated in all exhibitions of the Artists Organization and the Union of Artists in Israel. He also participated in group exhibitions in South America, U.S.A., Switzerland, Cyprus and Canada. The artist received a Scholarship from the Dvora Davidson Foundation, Country Seat, Upper Galilee. Many publishers have issued his works which have also been exhibited in Museums and Galleries in Israel and abroad.
